COVID Chronicles #4

Yesterday was day #4 of working remotely from home. I took a walk during lunch and then Wife and I took a walk after I was done working for the day; 4:30-5pm. We had left over butternut squash soup for dinner. Wife added some coconut milk and curry powder on the suggestion of a cousin of mine in Oregon. It did enhance the flavor and even added a little bit of spice. We agreed it was a good suggestion. We have shifted our main meal to the lunch meal and Wife wants to keep track of she makes each day for lunch. After this is all over, it's going to be hard giving up a hot, home cooked meal for lunch! 3/26- Seafood Curry Rice 3/27 -  Seafood Curry Rice (leftovers) 3/30 - Spaghetti w/ tomato sauce 3/31 - Corn Omlette Rice w/ spinach and tomato sauce All for today!

COVID Chronicles #3

Well, our governor has issued a stay at home order effective tomorrow at 5pm until April 30th. Wife and I have been preparing for this for awhile. I guess now we can start eating some of the food we have already stockpiled and this is where all of the people who have stockpiled toilet paper will be starving, but their butts will be clean. I worked from again today and the way things are going, I'll probably be working from home through the end of May. Made a batch of butternut squash soup for dinner tonight. Wife was pleased. I guess it's time to dig in and hunker down. All for today.

COVID 19 Chronicles #2

Join the challenge of posting a picture of some landscape from a place where you've been, where the main requirement is that you NOT appear in it. Just a picture, no description. The goal is to flood profiles with landscape photos to give a twist on the situation we're going through. Copy the text to your status, post a photo and lets travel virtually around the world. We had a moderate break in our practice of social distancing yesterday. My parents, who live about an hour away, invited over for dinner last night...pot roast with potatoes, carrots, & asparagus with brownies and ice cream for dessert. Since it had been 2 weeks since these social distancing rules had been put into place and we were't symptomatic, we thought it might be safe to visit. We were also able to enjoy a shower for the first time since February 29th. Our shower project still is not finished, but at least the tiling is done and now all we're waiting for is the installation o

The COVID-19 Chronicles #1.

I have decided to shift this blog to sharing my experience with the COVID-19 virus here in my southeastern Arizona town of Bisbee. Today was Day 2 of working remotely from home and for an extrovert like me, I hate it. All of my other co-workers have been working remotely since 3/16. I am training a new member of staff and having to do all of my other work on top training. By the end of the work day, I wanna get out, but I don't. We'll see what tomorrow is like. All for today.
