The COVID Chronicles #37

As of this morning, there are 24,332 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our state with 1,012 deaths. That is an increase of approximately 5,000 cases since my last weekend post last Saturday evening. The number of new cases reported yesterday was nearly 1,600! Overall, the "Total Percent Positive" rate is 5.9%.

In our county, the number of total cases has increased to 118. 54 of those cases are currently active. 59 have been released from isolation and the number of deaths related to COVID-19 has risen to 5. 13 people have needed to be hospitalized with 6 admitted to the ICU.

In our zip code for Old Mining Town the number of cases continues to hold at 1-5. The number of cases in the border town of Douglas is now at 48, so that is the epicenter for our COVID-19 cases in our county.
